Филиал крупной компании CA (Computer Associates) в Праге ищет специалистов в IT для отделов разработки и тестирования. Отделение компании в Праге (Mainframe Center of Excellence) открылось в августе 2005 года.

Компания готова подготовить разрешение на работу в Чешской Республике, на основе которого человек получает годовую рабочую визу в Чехию и заключает бессрочный контракт на работу. Рабочий язык в компании английский.

Компания работает с различными IT технологиями и платформами: mainframe technologies (Assembler, Rexx, JCL, COBOL, C languages, z/OSOperating System), Windows & Linux technologies (C, C++, Java languages).

Employment Process

Далее если Human Resources отделение решит, что ваша кандидатура подходит, вас пригласят на первое собеседование, которое может проходить и по телефону, если человек находится в другой стране. Все собеседования проводятся на английском или чешском языке. Если человек не знает чешского (местного) языка, то это не проблема – официальным языком считается английский, поэтому, зная английский, здесь вы не будете иметь никаких проблем.

Если вы пройдете успешно первое интервью, на котором с вами будет общаться скорее всего кто-то из отдела кадров, то следующее интервью уже будет с директором пражского филиала и наверное с мэнэджером отдела разработки. Как правило, если на последнем интервью вы понравитесь, вам будет предложен тест на общие знания в IT, который содержит в себе вопросы о программировании, языках, объектно-ориентированном программировании итд итп. Человек, который имел дело с компьютерами больше, чем просто пользователь я думаю должен ответить на эти вопросы. А если человек имеет образование в области IT, то пройти этот тест никакая не проблема. Еще один дополнительный тест может быть (а может и не быть) в зависимости от проекта, в который потом попадете. Как правило, второй тест на знание какого-либо языка – C++ или Java.

Если успешно пройдены все интервью, вас пригласят на работу, то есть пришлют официальное предложение о работе, в котором будет также указана стартовая зарплата, которую компания решит вам дать в начале по результатам всех собеседований. Если вы принимаете приглашение ра работу, компания начинает оформление разрешения на работу в Чешской республике конкретно для вас.
После получения разрешения на работу (ждать его придется 2-3 месяца), можете оформлять визу в Чехию и приезжать на работу. Компания может решить пригласить вас на собеседования и помочь оформить туристическую визу. Но это уже детали и решается отдельно в каждом случае.

Человек может выбрать, с чем он хочет работать и в каком проекте. Если вы решите работать с мэйнфреймами, то этих людей ждет как минимум 3 месяца обучения. В течение периода обучения человек знакомится с технологиями, с которыми работает компания и изучает то, что еще не знает. По окончании обучения проходит контрольный тест. На период обучения предоставляется полная зарплата, предусмотренная контрактом.

CA is has opened a new Development Centre in Prague (Chodov) that it is called the Mainframe Centre of Excellence (MCoE). The MCoE will focus on Mainframe computing related products and as in any Development Centre, the activity will include Development, Corrective Maintenance and Quality Assurance.
The objective is to bring in 200 employees within the next years. We are looking for experienced people (mainframe knowledgeable) as well as young graduated. It creates a big opportunity for computer science and engineering experts in the Czech Republic including students of computer science or related study programs.

Software Engineer
This position is responsible for creating and/or maintaining software applications for a product or family of products. Provides moderately complex modification, testing and debugging tasks. Provides analysis related to software design and development and solves problems. Evaluates impact of software performance, and recommends changes to software designers. This position works with minimal supervision and utilizes knowledge, experience and judgment to accomplish goals.
Responsibilities
• Design and code moderately complex units/modules/products that meet functional and business requirements on schedule and within budget.
• Develop plans outlining steps and time tables for developing programs and communicate plans and status to management and other development team members.
• Write and maintain documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections.
• Perform unit/module testing of software to find errors and confirm programs meet specifications.
• Fix bugs, add enhancements, and convert software to other platforms.
• Set up software configuration control and software development environments including program source control to ensure reliable backups and source code integrity.
• Participate in design and code reviews with other developers.
• Assist Quality Assurance Team by providing assistance to testers and support personnel as needed to determine system problems.
• Develop and direct software testing plans for quality assurance.
• Attend department meetings and provide input to establish and improve departmental processes and procedures.

Associate Software Engineers
This position is targeting on junior candidates - fresh graduates or with few years of experience who are motivated to learn new things, broaden his/her knowledge in the area of software development and gain new experiences in working for an international corporation.
The Mainframe Center is specializing on a development for the mainframe technology, which is based on the languages such as mainframe assembler or REXX.
The position Assoc. Software Engineer is responsible for creating and/or maintaining software applications for a product or family of products. Performs non-complex modification, testing, and debugging tasks. Assists with analysis related to software design and development and debugging or problem solving. Assists in evaluating impact of software performance, and recommends changes to software designers.

This position is responsible for performing complex tasks requiring planning, scheduling, and testing to assure that developed products meet design specifications and are within total quality management limits and standards.
Responsibilities
• Communicate with product developers and technical support specialists on product issues.
• Develop test plans making sure that all requesting functionalities are covered
• Perform test cases and maintain associated test records.
• Utilize automated test scripts to perform duties.
• Record issues into a defect-tracking system.
• Follow-up and close issues entered into the defect-tracking system.
• Work with development team to understand assigned modules/new product features for the purpose of developing test cases. Usually reports to the Quality Assurance/Testing Manager.

Quality Assurance Tester
This position is responsible for running tests that ensure the quality of his/her assigned products within the scope of his/her training and expertise.
Responsibilities
• Set-up testing environments.
• Perform test cases and maintain associated test records.
• Utilize automated test scripts to perform duties.
• Record issues into a defect-tracking system.
• Follow-up and close issues entered into the defect-tracking system.
• Escalate issues to a higher level where issue resolution is not achieved within a reasonable amount of time.
• Provide information to technical documentation (i.e. Product Release Notes/Readme files).
• Review product documentation (manuals/Getting Started guides) for technical accuracy.
• Work with development team to understand assigned modules/new product features for the purpose of developing test cases.
• Familiarize themselves with new technology, operating systems, etc. in order to maintain an awareness of technological advances.

Supervisor, Development
This position is responsible for supervising the day-to-day activities of a small development team. Focused on ensuring high quality products are delivered to market on time. Consults their managers on issues relating to management and accountability of their employees (performance, hiring/firing, employee relations issues). May continue to perform Software or Sr. Software Engineer responsibilities.
Responsibilities
• Assist with managing development projects assigned to his or her team to ensure process efficiency, effective resource allocation, product quality, and achievement of milestones and deadlines.
• Monitor and control the activities and performance of staff under his/her supervision with guidance from management.
• Ensure staff understands corporate policies and procedures.
• Work with manger to ensure staff has the appropriate technical knowledge to perform the required tasks
• Build the training plans for his/her team and propose them to Management.
• Assign or reallocate duties to personnel to meet various workload pressures and variations where necessary.
• Ensure the delivery of projects to milestones and delivery dates.
• Provide technical guidance to team members
Requirements
• University degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• 3-5 years of experience in software development with 1 or more years experience as a team lead, project manager or manager

Salaries

Сложно говорить о зарплате, потому что все конечно зависит от позиции и опыта работы. Могу сказать, что человек без опыта работы с высшим образованием может расчитывать на стартовую зарплату около 35 000 крон в месяц. Треть зарплаты уходит в налоги, из которых оплачивается и медицинское страхование. Кажется, что много, но такие уж законы, и могу сказать, что везде в фирмах и почти везде примерно такая часть во всей Европе. Если годовой доход составляет больше 300 000 крон, то человек обязан платить 30 % налогов каждый месяц от своего дохода. Курс доллара к рублю можете всегда найти на сайте: http://seznam.cz/, который на данный момент составляет 21,45 крон за доллар.

Стоимость найма жилья примерно такая: приличную однокомнатную квартиру можно снять примерно за 8 000 - 10 000 крон в месяц. Можно снять комнату от 4000 в месяц.

Политика компания такова, что повышение зарплаты человек имеет каждый год примерно на 10-20 процентов.

Permanent Residence in Czech Republic

Существует возможность получения ПМЖ (постоянного места жительства) в Чехии, которое позволяет передвигаться без визы внутри Евросоюза, потому что Чехия в Евросоюзе и покупать недвижимость в Чехии.
ПМЖ можно получить через 1,5 года если есть высшее образование (новый закон от июля 2007 года).
