The license in this e-mail enables you to compile the OpenCore(R) Plus
hardware evaluation versions of the Nios(R) processor. This OpenCore Plus
license lets you generate a time-limited configuration file (.sof) for
a project that includes an OpenCore Plus Nios processor with SOPC Builder.
You can only use this configuration file to configure a device with the
Quartus II Programmer and an Altera download cable. Alternatively, you may
generate a Slave Binary Image (.sbi) file for boot-from-flash programming
of an ARM(R)-based Excalibur(TM) device.
You can use the OpenCore Plus Nios hardware evaluation feature to
perform board-level design verification before deciding to purchase
a Nios development kit. You are only required to purchase a development
kit when you are completely satisfied with the Nios processor's
functionality and performance, and would like to generate non-time-limited
device programming files.
WARNING: AFTER PROGRAMMING A DEVICE, OPENCORE PLUS HARDWARE EVALUATION
VERSIONS OF THE NIOS PROCESSOR OPERATE NORMALLY FOR A PREDETERMINED
NUMBER OF CLOCK CYCLES, AFTER WHICH THE CORE IS DISABLED IN A PREDEFINED
MANNER. IF THE FUNCTION HAS TIMED-OUT, YOU MUST REPROGRAM OR RECONFIGURE
THE ALTERA DEVICE TO RESET THE FUNCTION AND CONTINUE HARDWARE
VERIFICATION.
