Насчет симулятора - не знаю, не приходилось пользовать, так как оного в лицензионном комплекте к EZDSP нету.
Сам отлаживаю все на этом EZDSP эмулятором.

симулятор действительно какой-то недоделанный: вот цитата
The simulator is limited to supporting C20x devices only.
It does not support realtime mode debugging. The realtime demo/tutorial will not work on the simulator.
Simulator will display program space labels in the disassembly window for data memory addresses. For example, "ADD 4h" would be displayed as "ADD INT2" if INT2 was a program space label at address 4h.
Simulator doesn't display the DP register correctly. It's value corresponds to the address in memory that the data page is set to. So, if your program sets the data page to 1, the DP register will display 0080. A work-around is to view the DP value from the lower 9-bits of the ST0 register.
